We Are Cluster 5 of the Diocese of Portland, Maine

The parishes in the diocese are now grouped together in small clusters. Our cluster's pastor is Fr. Joël Cyr, and our business manager is Charleen Rossignol , and the two parishes share other resources as well.  The cluster concept includes the creation of various councils and commissions to serve the Church community and to reach out to the larger community. We have one Parish Council and one Financial Council for the entire cluster. In addition, each parish has commissions or service groups.

The Cluster 5 Pastoral & Finance Council Meetings are at 6:30 PM located at various locations within the cluster.

BY-LAWS: Cluster Pastoral & Financial Councils

The complete 2007 by-laws include the rules for:

  • Duties: assist and advise the pastor on the spiritual and financial aspects of the parish.
  • Membership: 9 members on each council, with the pastor as a non-voting member with the right of veto.
  • Business year: July to June
  • Meetings: 3rd Tuesday of odd months at 6:30 P.M.; quorum is 5 members
  • Communication: the parishioners will be regularly informed of the work of the councils
  • Officers: each council has a chairperson, vice-chairperson, and share a secretary
  • Elections: held yearly at the June meeting
  • Each member of the council has an assignment as a liaison to a commission at their respective worship site
